Working In Chicago
feel free to delete this if it does not meet your communities guidelines and know that i am sorry and desparate for information.<3-heidi|
so, i'm planning on moving to chicago sometime between november 1st and january 1st depending. i have been on craigslist like nobody's business. does anyone know of any realtor names or websites or apt listing websites that i could check out alongside of deadend craigslist? i'm looking for a 2 bedroom in the 600-830 dollar range that isn't a complete piece of crap and also somewhere that i will not get shot when i go to work or sleep. please help i'm used to big cities but for some reason my search has been awful.
I could mail you some newspapers for free if that would help you out.
That stuff might be online as well, I'm really not sure.
Chicago Sun Times
Suppose you could google...
chicago + rental
chicago + apartment
I would avoid craigslist for real estate.
If you find a place, but can't come up here to check it out first, I can video tape tape it and post it on youtube.
For what you can afford, it will be a crappy studio in the ghetto. Avoid the southside.
thanks so much. i'm thinking i'm just going to have to expand the range to 950 for now to see what i can get. since i don't know you, i would feel bad asking you to go check out apartments for me. i have friends there unfortunately both of them have day jobs so they can't really help. but hopefully i can figure something out. a lot of people on other chicago communities have given me very good info on areas like pilsen, rogers park, and some other areas. p.s. in your profile you have world of warcraft, do you play?
A few of my friends got into WoW, but at the time my computer lacked the memory to really run it. So I have yet to play it.
I'm currently addicted to Lord of the Rings Online after playing Diablo 2 and Starcraft for the past 7 years.
I ganked that WoW pic because I like it, nothing more.
you should play. it's the best
A year and a few months later your still not in Chicago, what made you change your mind?
well money issues happened and my friend moved to ohio without me instead of waiting and moving with me to chicago. so i stayed in the city to save money then things here were getting really awesome and i decided to stay for a few years. chicago is still in my field of vision though. i'd love to live there one day when things are right.
I have a sublet for 3 br that is $925.00
